Founder & Lead Consultant
Dan founded MI Links in 2007 after a career split between government and the private sector — including technical and advisory work within Kenya's tourism and environmental ministries — before moving into independent consulting. That dual vantage point, policy on one side and project delivery on the other, still shapes how MI Links scopes its engagements: built to satisfy a regulator and survive contact with the field.
He has authored a number of published research papers on tourism, sustainability and climate, available on Google Scholar.
Dan works alongside a network of associate consultants who are specialists in their own right — brought onto an engagement based on what the brief actually needs.
Baseline studies, ecological surveys and impact analysis.
Destination strategy and sustainable tourism product design.
Vulnerability assessment, modelling and adaptation planning.
Spatial analysis, watershed and ecosystem mapping.
Tell us the scope and we'll assemble the right mix of specialists.
